"Whalens Hooker Releases" are available in a 1" and a 7/8" model. The colors available are Black, Forest Green, Red and Gold. The release has two adjustable screws and hook that are made of stainless steel. The main body is 6061 aluminum.
Nothing to rust on this one. For the hunters it has a custom made wrist strap. The strap is made from a non shrink leather. The custom wrist strap maker (Marilyn) has made custom horse saddles for over fourty years. The thumb peg is reversible for a left or right handed shooter. The simplicity design of this release allows the shooter to draw the bow back with thumb on the thumb peg. This acts as a very good safety (It turns the release as not to fire). Upon full draw to anchor point you relax your thumb off the peg ( Comes with one smooth and one knurled). This allows the release to center up on the index finger creating a perfectly equal center pressure point in the middle of your finger. Now as you continue your shot process the release will fire easier than others because of the perfectly center pressure point on the index finger. You don't have to fight that index finger pressure to get the shot off. It kind of acts like a teter totter. Without no pressure on the inside of the release, the pressure on the outside from your middle finger makes this release fire very smooth. It's amazing how this helps the left and right arrow issue. I have set one up, and let many other shooters pull on the middle finger hold while I just hold the release with my index finger until the shoot goes off and can shoot x's. This has been amazing to many shooters. It's all because of that perfectly center pressure point design. This is why shooters refer to this release as, The Original Release Turning Heads.
